face-paintingFace Painting and Fun!
Sunday, October 24, 2010

TownFolk Co-Director Jillian Johnson and her old art school pal Alyce LaBry spent yesterday afternoon at J. Wallace James Park painting faces (and arms and legs) during the Bridge Neighborhood Association Family Fun Day. This group covers the neighborhood just north of ours on the other side of the railroad tracks.

Bridge put together a great event with food games and prizes for children and adults and the weather was fantastic. Thanks to all who helped make it happen.

Horsemen Are So Great!

Horsemen-Panorama

Jillian spotted this group of Creole cowboys who are starting a new tradition in the neighborhood. They networked in a single day to take a late Sunday afternoon ride down Simcoe Street as a group to celebrate their heritage and community (and because it's obviously fun). This cool happening (which is currently two weeks running...we hope it sticks!) was luckily captured with a few photos.
